Travelling to Patagonia FAQ
-
What is the climate like across Patagonia?
The summertime runs between October - March where the weather is warmer and there is more daylight. This is when our group tours operate. Wintertime is colder with an increased chance of snow, it also means fewer tourists as it is low season. But be careful - some transport links and roads will close for the winter.
-
When does peak season run?
Our group tours operate in Patagonia from November to February. But if you wish to extend any trips or travel during the winter, speak to our friendly Tailor-made team.
-
Are flights included?
Although we do not specialise in selling flights we can arrange to book your flights so that they match your tour's start and end dates. Please speak to one of our travel consultants for more information.
-
Will I need travel insurance?
Travel insurance is compulsory on all Tucan Travel tours. Proof of your travel insurance will be required whilst travelling with us.
-
What accommodation will be on tour?
On our group tour in Patagonia we stay mainly in locally-owned hotels and guesthouses. In Torres del Paine National Park we camp in tents, based inside the park itself near the beautiful Lake Pehoe. On our Tailor-made tours you have the option to stay in luxury Eco-Camps.
