We will have a White Elephant Christmas Party during transit and hopefully a fancy dinner in Cuenca.White elephant is when everyone buys a present and puts them into a pile. Then everyone draws a number. The first person picks a random present and opens it in front of everyone. The the next people either steal a previous present or open a new one”\u00a0Tour Leader, Luke<\/p>\n “In much of South America the 24th is celebrated more than 25th so on Christmas Eve the group will be visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier wearing their Christmas hats. We have a chef in the group who has volunteered to make a Christmas dinner depending on whats available to buy and utilizing the hob at the hostel.”\u00a0Tour Leader, Jen<\/p>\n “For my Christmas with the group I have planned a lovely Christmas lunch with a special menu and entertainment at El Patio in San Jose. This will be followed by a look at Costa Rica’s biggest Christmas tree at the Children’s National Hospital! We will drop in gifts for the children here too. The group also want to do a ‘stealing Santa’ where we all buy random gifts and you can ‘steal’ them from each other during the game – all in good fun of course!” Tour Leader, Gina<\/p>\n “We will be in the coffee region Salento. I was thinking of playing Secret Santa, giving the gifts at midnight, but at 11.30pm open a space of 30 minutes for the passengers to draw a portrait of their Secret Santa. I would love to get creative before giving the gifts, usually that gets people in a nice mood and a friendly environment.Apart from that, I’ll find a place for a nice meal before and maybe chip in with the group for champagne or fizzy wine at least :)” Tour Leader, Andres<\/p>\n “After flying from La Paz to Uyuni on the 24th December, we will prepare ourselves for the 2 night 4×4 overland adventure over the famous Bolivian Salt Flats, starting on Christmas Day. Its a great few days as we pass some amazing scenery which always blows people minds! Famous Salt Flat photos on Christmas day with Santa Hats, couldn’t be anymore quirky! We will stay in one of the salt hotels just off the flats on Christmas Day night and although we will have a tasty dinner, turkey will definitely not be on the menu.
