While Japan\u2019s world-famous cherry blossoms seem like an enticing time to visit the country, think again! Japan might not spring to mind when you’re brainstorming the best places to visit in October, but it certainly deserves a space on your research list.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many travellers are under the impression that the best time to visit Morocco is during summer. The high flight prices can be misleading, but anyone who\u2019s made the trip to Morocco from June through to September will know that the midday sun is definitely not your friend.<\/span><\/p>\n

In October evenings start to cool down, but if you\u2019re after a sunny October getaway, midday temperatures still climb as high as 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit).<\/span><\/p>\n

With generally cheaper prices and balanced temperatures that won\u2019t spoil your mood to explore, Morocco makes a great getaway in October.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Similar to Morocco, October brings the perfect balance of pleasant day and night time temperatures to the country. Especially in Wadi Rum, the southern part of the country, you can enjoy stargazing in clear conditions. 7. Patagonia<\/a>, Chile & Argentina<\/strong><\/h2>\n

October marks the beginning of spring in the southern hemisphere. That means the cold and stormy winter months are coming to an end in Patagonia.<\/span><\/p>\n

The travel season in Patagonia runs from October all the way through to March, with the high season (and the busiest months) falling from the end of November to early February. If you\u2019d like to experience Patagonia in its true tranquil and mesmerising beauty then October is the best time to visit.<\/span><\/p>\n

8. The Galapagos Islands<\/a>, Ecuador<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Officially October is part of the low-season in the Galapagos. But as you may have noticed, we prefer a lot of destinations in shoulder and off-peak season. The reason is that you can expect a more authentic experience with fewer crowds and lower prices. (There are some exceptions, e.g. we don\u2019t run tours in Patagonia\u2019s off-peak season due to bad weather.)<\/span><\/p>\n

In the Galapagos in October you can expect warm temperatures of around 22 degrees Celsius (77 in Fahrenheit) with dry and mist-free days. The Humboldt current from the Antarctic also delivers essential nutrients to the island group which is partly responsible for a rich wildlife experience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to the limited amount of visitors allowed to the Galapagos islands and the costs that are involved, a trip to this remote part of the world is truly a once in a lifetime experience. The Galapagos Islands are an all year round destination and while we think October is one of the best times to go, it really depends on your preferences, animals you\u2019d like to see and excursions you\u2019d like to go on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

9. Namibia<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Namibia is one of the best places to visit in October. Temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius (86 in Fahrenheit), in combination with little rain makes it the perfect time to enjoy a game drive without breaking a sweat. Travel towards the end of the month to dodge the crowds and enjoy an affordable safari in Etosha National Park, before heading to the Namib Desert for unforgettable views.<\/span><\/p>\n

10. Prague, Czech Republic<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n

There is something about experiencing Eastern Europe in the fall. The heat of the summer months is wearing off and you\u2019re likely to wake up to foggy and mystic mornings in Prague. This only adds to the flair of the architecture that can be found here. In addition, the milder temperatures of usually 10-15 degrees Celsius (50-59 in Fahrenheit) are perfect for exploring.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Even traditional food in the region is made for the milder weather in October. A wide array of delicious comfort food is awaiting you. Plus, it\u2019s now officially shoulder season in Europe which means fewer crowds and cheaper flights!<\/span><\/p>\n
